Jim Coogan: Legal Analyst on WCPT Radio

Illinois Attorney General Primary

On March 15, 2018, Jim Coogan joined The Ben Joravsky Show on WCPT 820 AM Radio for another installment of the show’s “Legal Analyst” feature.  Ben asked Jim to weigh in on the Illinois Attorney General primary.  They discussed the candidates and issues in the race.  The Illinois Primary Election is March 20th.

The President and “Stormy Daniels”

The pair also discussed some of the President’s newest legal problems as he faces accusations of involvement in an affair as well as claims of violating a confidentiality agreement about the affair.  They discussed the possibility that the President may have to testify about the case.  Any more disclosures about financial payoffs could create problems for the Campaign, including election law violations.

Animal Injuries and Illinois Law

Last, Ben asked about the recent tragedy involving a dog who was forced into an overhead bin on a United Airlines Flight.  Illinois Law does not treat animals in a way that would account for damages the way it does people.  However, given the developments in this area and the public visibility of these cases, that may change in the future.
