This has been a challenging year. There is no other way to say it. Our lawyers and staff have adjusted by working from home when necessary. We have maximized our use of our case management software, electronic communications and remote technology to connect to the Courts and our clients. We have done everything possible to navigate changes to the Court system and the Workers’ Compensation system. This has included advising clients of how the law will continue to function in this new era.
Our lawyers continue to take calls from injured clients and advise them of their rights. Nothing is more important than the safety and security of your family. If you experience an injury, you need to know what to do and what your options are in the short and long-term. And while some things are slowed or on hold, not everything is. And it is crucial to know the difference. And know what to do. That is our job–to explain it all and work hard for you from the start.
In late March, the COVID-19 public health crisis hit a breaking point. Governors across the nation issued stay-at-home Orders. In Illinois, the Governor restricted travel and work in order to slow the spread of disease and filling of hospital beds. We were here. We even moved our office to Park Ridge to create different access for our staff and our clients. We continue to adjust and do what it necessary to put pressure on insurance companies, build our clients’ cases, and get justice where we can.
We continue to monitor the Courts’ progress in order to be ready to return to trials in the courtroom as soon as that is possible. If you have questions about an injury and your legal rights, call our offices and we will be here to help.
