Coogan Gallagher Serving Our Clients

In this Moment of Uncertainty Firm Continues Operations

The news regarding the novel COVID-19 coronavirus is disturbing and is rapidly evolving. In the past few business days, the country witnessed the Declaration of a National Emergency and the State of Illinois has issued wide-ranging restrictions on social interaction and business operation. It is hectic. And it is frightening. In the face of this public health crisis, the first thing on your mind is the health and safety of your loved ones.

Understandably, the status of a lawsuit or injury claim may not be your first priority. And while our firm is taking steps to protect our staff, we are also prioritizing serving our clients. Thus, we are announcing that our business officially remains open. You can still reach out to your lawyers about the status of your cases. And please contact us regarding new claims. We remain open to new business.

We must also direct your attention to the fact that our public institutions are also subject to severe restrictions. Courthouses and the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission are shutting down to limit public gatherings. Presently, the Cook County Courts are closed to non-emergency business until April 15, 2020. Statewide, the IWCC is closed until March 31, 2020.

These are unprecedented times. And that is no overstatement. Understand that we are here to help with your legal needs and will do everything in our power to advocate for you, even under these dire circumstances. Take heart, we will all get through this and your lawyers will safeguard your rights through it all.
