On September 5, 2017, the City Council for the City of Park Ridge had its regular meeting. Among the Agenda items, the Council was presented with Mayor Marty Maloney’s Appointment of James E. Coogan (of Park Ridge, Illinois) to the Planning & Zoning Commission. The Appointment follows the recommendation of the Mayor’s Advisory Board and appoints Jim to the Planning & Zoning Commission’s vacant seat. The Planning & Zoning Commission consists of nine appointed members who serve four-year terms. The Commission reviews applications for zoning changes and planned development in Park Ridge.
The appointment was approved by the City Council and Jim will begin his four-year term this September. This will be Jim’s first opportunity to serve in an official governmental role.
