Jim Coogan – Super Lawyer (2022)

We are very proud to congratulate the managing partner of Coogan Gallagher, Jim Coogan, named a Super Lawyer for 2022! Super Lawyers is a rating system that is managed by Thompson Reuters. Thompson Reuters is deeply involved in the field of law and provides popular legal research tools. They also perform a rigorous evaluation of lawyers based upon peer nominations–these ratings come from other lawyers.

Jim has been practicing law in the Chicago area for over 15 years. He has worked at the firm since 2007. He was named Managing Partner and took over managing the firm in 2015. Jim devotes his time to managing client relationships and managing the lawyers and staff for the firm. He also plays an important role in developing legal strategy in the firm’s cases. This means he will also serve as the lead trial attorney for many of the firm’s cases.

In addition to this recognition, Jim has previously been named by the venerable Chicago Daily Law Bulletin as one of the 40 Lawyers Under 40 To Watch (2020). He has also been named as an Emerging Lawyer in the past, now considered a Leading Lawyer as of 2022.
