Jim joined The Ben Joravsky Show to Discuss Treason and SCOTUS

On July 18, 2018, our own Jim Coogan sat in as a guest for his monthly ‘Ask an Attorney’ segment on The Ben Joravsky Show on WCPT 820 radio.  Jim and Ben discussed the meaning of “treason” and the present role that Russia plays on the world stage.  They discussed whether Russia is an ‘enemy’ for the purposes of the Federal law against treason, 18 U.S.C. Sec. 2381.  The question on many minds this past week was whether President Trump may have offered “aid and comfort” to an enemy of the United States.

The pair discussed the recent appointment of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court.  The two issues are related since Judge Kavanaugh has expressed the belief that a President should not be investigated–civilly or criminally.  They also discussed how these issues and others will play out in the Senate Confirmation for Judge Kavanaugh.
