T-Bone Car Crash–Multiple Injuries

The Incident

A ninety-two year old was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her seventy-three year-old daughter. They were travelling northbound on Rodenburg Rd. crossing Irving Park Rd. when a driver ran a red light and T-boned their vehicle. Our ninety-two year-old client sustained injuries to her head, neck, and a fractured wrist. She required months of care in a rehabilitation facility. Our seventy-three year-old client sustained a serious head trauma and injuries down her body.

The Result

Our attorneys were able to advise our clients about the importance that insurance limits would have in this case.  The driver who struck our clients carried only $50,000.00 in liability coverage per incident.  The case settled for that amount for each of our clients, and then a claim for “Underinsured Motorist Benefits” was settled with the client’s insurance carrier for an additional total of $286,547.00.
